Spice up those greens with our salad cream! Crosse & Blackwell’s Mild Salad Cream is less tangy for those who prefer a milder taste. This slightly savoury and sweet dressing is ideal for adding that extra something to your salad. Available in 385g and 790g.

Mayonnaise Banana Bread

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup Mild Salad Cream
  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup pecan nuts, chopped
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease a rectangular bread tin.
  2. Add the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, pecan nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg to a medium sized bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash the bananas and mix in the egg and Mild Salad Cream.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the mashed banana mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased bread tin and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven allow to cool before removing from the tin.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Add an assortment of nuts instead of just pecan nuts to create a more playful flavour.
